Yoga and meditation retreats in silence with asana pranayama and meditation

 

Jenny offers yoga and meditation retreats throughout the year in beautiful locations throughout the Northwest. Retreat offers a spiritual path to re-connect with ourselves, others, and the natural world. These connections have the capacity to nourish us in a world that can feel overwhelming.  Drawing from studies in bodywork, mindfulness meditation, psycho-spiritual therapy, Yoga, and Buddhism, students are guided into deep connection with their inner resources. When we are resourced, we are better fit to meet life's unavoidable challenges. 

Grounded in meditation, retreats include sitting periods, yogic breathing, movement class, and relational mindfulness exercises through which we engage with others in practice. Retreats are held is social silence. There is no verbal interaction with participants outside of the classroom. All meals, walks, and time between classes are kept quiet to deepen our inner experience. 


January 24-27, 2019 3 night silent retreat with Jenny and Kate at Aldermarsh on Whidbey Island.


March 16 - Day-Long Silent Retreat at Hanna’s Barn on Vashon Island, 9am-5pm

Join Jenny and Kate Bradfield for a day of silence at Hanna Barn, a beautiful and private waterfront residence with a pristine renovated barn as our sanctuary for the day. Just steps away from the shore, and with views of Mount Baker, this 10-minute drive from the Vashon ferry dock will transport any city dweller into an alternate reality.

During our time on the island, participants will unplug from their phones and devices and spend the day in social silence. Practices will be delivered verbally to students by Kate and Jenny, with designated times for check-in and relational mindfulness exercises during the day. Students can expect to engage in movement, restorative yoga, pranayama, meditation and journaling exercises.

Cost is $155 Limited amount of scholarships available. Registration is through Kate at Upright Rolfing.


One of the most special things about Jenny as a teacher is her vast understanding of the yoga system. While her knowledge of asana is deeply sophisticated, it is her experience with meditation, pranayama and mindfulness practice that leave me so inspired after studying with her.
